Bickley planting
The brief here was to unify a large, sloping garden that had previously been divided in two. Landscaping carried out by Matt Plants and Gardens included retaining walls, steps, earth moving and excavation, Ceda Gravel paths, fencing, electrics, sunken trampoline, play area and lawns. This garden can also be seen in the “Before and After” section.
The brief here was to redesign and transform a threadbare lawned garden with neglected virtually non-existant borders into a functional space that linked paving at the back of the house to a new paved area at the end of the garden. A colourful mixed planting was chosen to take the eye away from the side fences and rear brick wall. A garden from nothing.
A design-and-build that made full use of an awkward corner plot. See the “Before and After” section. The client requested bespoke screening all around, artificial grass, a trampoline space for now and a fire-pit space for the future; a child-friendly climbing shed, raised bike storage and space to indulge a passion for planting.
A design/build/planting project with a brief to provide discrete areas that link seamlessly together, not just through the hard landscaping, but also thanks to a thoughtful and naturalistic planting. Rendered raised beds with built-in storage benches and a central focus of bespoke pebble and clay paving links through to the lawn and up to a raised hardwood deck that wraps around a new garden room. The change in level is disguised with tiered raised beds.
